Special Issue December 2026: Smart and Sustainable Built Environment: Digital Design, Construction and Urban Development (BESCON 2026)

This Special Issue is associated with the International Conference on Built Environment and Smart Construction (BESCON 2026), held under the Borneo International Conference on Engineering, Science and Technology (BICEST 2026). The Special Issue focuses on smart, digital, and sustainable approaches in the built environment, addressing current challenges in design, construction, cost management, and urban development. Key themes include Building Information Modelling (BIM) for design, digital construction technologies, sustainable and lowcarbon buildings, cost planning, value engineering, life-cycle costing, smart cities, construction management, resilience, and policy-driven innovation. The Special Issue aims to bring together interdisciplinary research that bridges architectural design, quantity surveying practice, and engineering applications, integrating theory, professional practice, and regional perspectives, particularly within tropical and emerging economy contexts.
